Meet the Author!
Hi readers! I’m a California native, currently cozied up in a small Central Coast town where fog, cypress trees, and ocean cliffs make the perfect backdrop for a murder… fictional, of course.
My tortoiseshell cat Pixel (pictured) inspired the series’ feline sleuth, and is firmly convinced that every good plot twist begins with a warm lap. She’s not wrong.
For over twenty years I’ve worked as an independent photographer shooting real estate, corporate events, weddings, family sessions, always imagining the stories happening just outside the frame. Turns out that habit is extremely useful when writing murder mysteries.
In 2025 I finally turned one of my “what if” scenarios into a cozy mystery, and have been having a somewhat sleepless blast writing what I know: small towns, complicated hearts, and the secrets people keep just below the surface.
When I’m not plotting fictional crimes or challenging my fingertips to keep up with my thoughts, I’m out hiking local trails, swimming, or laughing loudly with my book club friends. I’m a little bit silly and a little bit soulful, and I love weaving that mix into every page. Stay tuned… Rae and Pixel are just getting started.
